White Deer 8" Damascus Steel Full-Tang Fixed-Blade Skinner Hunting Knife with Camel Bone Handle
Designed for outdoor use with a distinctive custom appearance, this 8-inch fixed-blade skinner hunting knife features an approximately 4-inch Damascus steel blade with an attractive layered pattern. Its compact drop-point profile makes it well suited for hunting, camping, fieldwork, and general outdoor cutting tasks.
The contoured Camel bone handle is secured with brass pins and includes a brass-lined lanyard hole. A turquoise spacer with contrasting red spacers adds a vibrant touch, while the polished metal bolster creates a smooth transition between the handle and blade. Full-tang construction provides added strength, balance, and stability. A fitted brown leather sheath with reinforced stitching is included for protected storage and convenient transport.
Damascus for this knife was created by forging and welding multiple layers of steel into a Solid block called a billet (15N20 & 1095 High Carbon Tool Steels). The billet is folded and re-welded several times to produce several layers. Patterns are created by manipulating steel during the forge-welding process. When acid is added to the blade, it attacks the layers of hard and soft steels differently, highlighting the attractive layered pattern in the Steel. The combination of layered hard and soft steel creates blade flexibility and toughness and produces invisible serrations on the blade that aid cutting. The hardness of the Damascus steel is 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. This knife is a must-have for any hunter or outdoorsman!
