Combining detailed craftsmanship with convenient folding construction, this Damascus steel pocket knife features a curved blade with an attractive layered pattern and a distinctive copper line along the cutting edge. Decorative blade grooving and spine notching enhance its custom appearance.
The contoured handle combines warm natural wood with a swirling green resin center section. Six brass pins secure the handle and complement the polished metal bolster. Decorative filework along the spine and liners adds visual detail when the knife is viewed from the side. A fitted black leather belt sheath with contrasting stitching and snap closure is included for protected storage and convenient carrying. The sheath also has a dedicated loop for the included sharpening rod, keeping essential blade-maintenance equipment together.
Damascus for this knife was created by forging and welding multiple layers of steel into a Solid block called a billet (15N20 & 1095 High Carbon Tool Steels). The billet is folded and re-welded several times to produce several layers. Patterns are created by manipulating steel during the forge-welding process. When acid is added to the blade, it attacks the layers of hard and soft steels differently, highlighting the attractive layered pattern in the Steel. The combination of layered hard and soft steel creates blade flexibility and toughness and produces invisible serrations on the blade that aid cutting. The hardness of the Damascus steel is 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. This knife is a must-have for any hunter or outdoorsman!
