Combining an ornate design with practical folding construction, this Damascus steel folding knife features a distinctive layered blade pattern accented by a copper line running along the blade. The curved clip-point profile, decorative groove, and notched spine give the knife a bold, custom-crafted appearance.
The contoured handle combines reddish-brown wood with ram's horn. Five brass pins secure the handle, while decorative filework along the spine and liners provides additional visual detail. A fitted black leather belt sheath with contrasting stitching and snap closure is included for protected storage and convenient carrying. The sheath also has a dedicated loop for the included sharpening rod, keeping essential blade-maintenance equipment together.
Damascus for this knife was created by forging and welding multiple layers of steel into a Solid block called a billet (15N20 & 1095 High Carbon Tool Steels). The billet is folded and re-welded several times to produce several layers. Patterns are created by manipulating steel during the forge-welding process. When acid is added to the blade, it attacks the layers of hard and soft steels differently, highlighting the attractive layered pattern in the Steel. The combination of layered hard and soft steel creates blade flexibility and toughness and produces invisible serrations on the blade that aid cutting. The hardness of the Damascus steel is 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. This knife is a must-have for any hunter or outdoorsman!
