White Deer 8" Damascus Steel Full-Tang Fixed-Blade Skinner-Hunting Knife with Brown Wood Handle
Compact and purposefully designed, this 8-inch fixed-blade skinning knife combines a distinctive Damascus steel blade with a comfortable contoured wood handle. The 4-inch blade features a curved cutting edge and fine layered pattern, creating a practical profile for hunting, skinning, camping, and general outdoor cutting tasks.
The 4-inch reddish-brown wood handle is secured with brass pins and shaped to provide a comfortable, controlled grip. A polished metal bolster strengthens the transition between the blade and handle, while full-tang construction provides added durability, stability, and balance. A fitted black leather sheath with embossed detailing, reinforced red stitching, and a snap-closure belt loop is included for protected storage and convenient carrying.
Damascus for this knife was created by forging and welding multiple layers of steel into a Solid block called a billet (15N20 & 1095 High Carbon Tool Steels). The billet is folded and re-welded several times to produce several layers. Patterns are created by manipulating steel during the forge-welding process. When acid is added to the blade, it attacks the layers of hard and soft steels differently, highlighting the attractive layered pattern in the Steel. The combination of layered hard and soft steel creates blade flexibility and toughness and produces invisible serrations on the blade that aid cutting. The hardness of the Damascus steel is 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. This knife is a must-have for any hunter or outdoorsman!
